Check a Website Response Time from the Linux Command Line

use below command to check the response time of a website

[root@vussd ~]# curl -o /dev/null -s -w ‘
WEBSITE RESPONSE TIMES
DNS\tTCP\tSSL\tREDIRECT\tTOTAL
%{time_namelookup}\t%{time_connect}\t%{time_appconnect}\t%{time_redirect}\t\t%{time_total}’\\n “http://www.google.com”

WEBSITE RESPONSE TIMES
DNS     TCP     SSL     REDIRECT        TOTAL
5.006   5.083   0.000   0.000           5.084
[root@vussd ~]#
